• Can Paperclips be shredded?

    Yes - Paperclips, Staples and rubber bands can be shredded and do not need to be removed.

  • Can 3 Ring Binders be shredded?

    No - 3 Rings Binders or anything with a solid metal spine cannot be shredded

  • Can spiral notebooks be shredded?

    Yes - Spiral Notebooks can be shredded

  • Can CDs be shredded?

    Yes - CDs and discs can be shredded as long as they are removed from any plastic case/ container that they are in. They need to be kept separate from the paper.

  • Can X-rays be shredded?

    X-rays cannot be shredded with paper as the material is not recyclable. Please contact us if you have an abundance of X-ray material. There are other recycling options for large volumes of X-rays as well.


  • Can Hard Drives be shredded?

    Yes, but we have a separate program for those. Please do not put them in with the paper. Contact us for details about hard drive shredding.

  • Can I bring my documents to you?

    No - we are a purely mobile operation. However, you may take your paper to Mail-N-Copy in Windsor for shredding.

  • What happens to the paper after it’s shredded?

    All shredded paper is 100% recycled. It’s baled and sent to a paper mill, where it’s turned into new products like napkins and toilet paper—supporting sustainability.

    With our high-capacity equipment, we can shred up to 6,000 pounds of paper per hour, making the process fast and efficient.

  • Is my information secure? Do you provide a Certificate of Destruction?

    Yes, your security is our priority. Shred Monster issues a Certificate of Destruction after each job. We provide on-site shredding with a live video feed so you can watch your documents being destroyed. We're I-SIGMA certified, fully licensed, and insured.
